about

In the summer of 2005, we left nashville for california to go on a 3 month tour. no money..a van that could break down at any point...just the 3 of us doing what we loved. 4 shows in, the whole tour was cancelled. we were stuck in los angeles knowing we were gonna have to drive all the way back across the country. sitting in a 7-11 parking lot on sunset blvd, i made a call to my friend and producer Nick Raskulinecz. we waited for over an hour to see if he would call us back, trying to stall before heading all the way back to nashville. he finally called back and we met up and got some coffee and talked about our cancelled tour. we drove around and listened to our record we had made a couple months before hand in Nick's car and he convinced us we could make a better one. he took us to a new studio he had just built with Dave Grohl up in Northridge, California, Studio 606. it was the craziest thing we had ever seen. Just stoked to be in the building, Nick said, if you can convince your manager and label to let you stay in los angeles and write a whole new record, we could make a record there. our lives just changed forever. After convincing the label, we set up shop in West Covina and borrowed a rehearsal space from a friends band. For weeks we wrote and rehearsed everyday. Nick would come down once a week and we would go through what we had. finally it was time to go in the studio.

When you walk into 606, there is just something about the building that makes you wanna bring your A game. For the couple months we were out there, it was the greatest time of our lives. Unfortunately, the music business isn't always kind. A bunch of people get in the way of people hearing your art. Playing the game is never fun. Long story short, the record got shelved and the label folded.

Since it has been 10 years, and i get asked all the time, i decided i didn't care anymore and fuck the game..people need to hear what we did. I'm not putting this up to make money or piss anyone off.Just want people to hear the happiness in the music that we made during the best times of our lives.

download it..turn it up...and enjoy the music.
